There's something about the quiet clack of a reversi disc flipping that sets a friendly game apart. Last Friday, my friends and I gathered around a well-worn board, the green grid waiting. With each turn, the energy shifted—taunts, groans, and triumphant smirks as we claimed corners and outflanked each other. It wasn't about winning or losing; it was the shared focus, the collective gasp when someone pulled off a clever trap. We ended with a tie and promises of a rematch.
