A씨는 지난해 6월 12일 통영 한 거리에서 90대 피해자가 작업대출을 위해 B씨의 동생에게 소액결제를 하게 하는 등 약 860만 원에 이르는 빚을 발생시키자 김00씨와 같이 비용을 받기 위해 주먹 등으로 수차례 폭행한 혐의 등으로 기소됐다.
스마트스토어에서 모바일 소액결제로 주문어떤 제품에 대한 환불 방식이 오픈마켓과 소셜커머스 등 유통채널에 따라 차이가 있는 것으로 보여졌다. 오픈마켓은 '포인트'로 환불 해주는 반면 소셜커머스와 대형 온라인몰은 계좌로 '현금' 지급하고 있다.
다만 일부 불법 회사의 신용카드결제, 구글정보사용료, 테블릿소액결제현금화 서비스 진행 시 개인 아이디어를 빼돌려 악용하는 스미싱 등 관련 피해 사례 역시 보고 되고 있을 것입니다. 그래서 사용자들은 서비스 이용 전 피해 예방 수칙을 반드시 확인하고 이를 준수해야 한다.
이은희 인하대 소비자학과 교수는 “구글 동일한 글로벌 온,오프라인 산업자도 수입에만 신경쓰지, 문제가 발생했을 때 완만한 대처를 하지 않는 때가 많다”면서 “구글 소액결제 케이스가 늘어나고 있습니다면 구글이 최고로 제일 먼저 할 일은 이런 일이 또 발생하지 않게 조치를 취하는 것”이라고 이야기 했다.
