We noticed high radon readings in the crawl space, so we sealed the exposed earth with a heavy vapor barrier and ran a PVC pipe from under the plastic up to a small fan that vents outside. The fan runs continuously, keeping the air under the house from seeping into the living room above. It made a real difference on the radon meter.
